Our family story is an extraordinary journey into two of Kenya’s most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries—Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the Olare Motorogi Conservancy in the Maasai Mara—where breathtaking landscapes, exceptional wildlife encounters, and the raw beauty of Africa come together in one unforgettable safari.
Our adventure begins at Ol Pejeta, set against the magnificent backdrop of Mount Kenya. This remarkable conservancy is renowned for its pioneering conservation work and extraordinary diversity of wildlife. Here, vast open plains are home to lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and both black and white rhinos—including the world’s last two northern white rhinos. Days unfold beneath immense African skies, following wildlife across golden savannahs and discovering a place where every encounter tells a powerful story of survival and conservation.
Then, the journey itself becomes part of the adventure.
We board a small bush plane and take to the African skies, leaving the sweeping plains of Ol Pejeta behind and flying south toward the legendary Maasai Mara. From above, Kenya reveals itself in an entirely different way—a vast tapestry of mountains, valleys, rivers, scattered villages, and endless wilderness stretching toward the horizon. Gradually, the landscape opens into the unmistakable golden grasslands of the Mara.
Touching down on a remote bush airstrip, we arrive in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy, home to Kicheche Bush Camp and one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. With its rolling grasslands, riverine forests, abundant wildlife, and remarkably low number of safari vehicles, Olare Motorogi offers an intimate wilderness experience far removed from the crowds.
Here, the rhythm of life is dictated entirely by the wild. Lions patrol their territories at dawn, cheetahs scan the plains from termite mounds, elephants wander silently across ancient migration routes, and leopards disappear into the shadows of acacia trees. Game drives may stretch into golden evenings, sundowners are enjoyed beneath endless horizons, and nights are filled with the distant calls of Africa beyond the canvas walls of camp.
